After getting past my initial mis-givings when the game would only let me play with the second control on my daisy chained set of controllers, I enjoyed this one a little bit.  The premise is simple and has been done a million times before.  This game is simply Bubble Bobble with fairly well done 3D graphics.

The game proceeds as you play either by yourself or with a friend.  You control a dinosaur and you have but one ability.  You can blow bubbles.  The bubbles are released as projectiles that move forward many feet before they begin to float up.  If you happen to hit something before the bubble starts to float up, whatever you hit becomes imprisoned in the bubble.  You then need to pop the bubble before the enemy pops it on his own and comes out angry and much faster.  While playing through the levels, various fruits and sweets will appear randomly, and after you kill enemies.  The idea is to collect as much of these as possible, kill all the enemies, and then do it again.

As mentioned, the graphics are 3D, and likely the high point of the game.  Each of the levels has a nice look and feel to it, and the effects for the bubbles are well done.  The music suffers from heavy repetitiveness, but is about what you would expect for this type of game.  The big downfall of the game is actually that the game play is not very good.  You can use either a joystick button, or the up direction on your Game Pad to make the character jump, but all to often it seems the character is just moving a bit off of what you want the character to do.

Fans of the Bubble Bobble series will likely enjoy this 3D conversion of the concept.  Those who haven't every given one of those games a shot will likely enjoy it as well, though I think the game play will hurt the opinions of most everyone who plays it.  Good, but could have been a little better.
