From the Front: Avatar 90 Seeks Newbies
Anonymous writes "Avatar 90 Seeks Newbies http://www.avatar90.com A good game should never have to "find" players, right? Wrong. For the most part this is true, but let me explain the exception. This retro graphical multi-player dungeon game has two problems that probably wont ever be solved. First it exists on a proprietary network that was built in the 1970's and requires special software to play over the Internet. Second the game is only available during off-peak hours. The network is used by students during peak times. As a result access is available during system off-peak hours 8pm - 4am pacific time, Monday through Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday and some Holidays. Other than those two problems Avatar 90 is an awesome game. I recommend it to anyone that likes multi-player dungeon games. There are so many combinations of race, class, attributes, and equipment that it is very easy to build very unique characters. The game has a fluctuating economy and the dungeon is huge where each level has many different regions where the monsters and terrain differ. The Dragon's Lair is on 13 while the Elemental Plane of Air is on 8. Don't ask me how but the Mad Alchemist's lair is actually hidden between levels 6 and 7. More details and screenshots are available on http://www.avatar90.com. The gamers who currently play Avatar 90 want more people to come and enjoy this challenging and social game. Community makes this game even better. Because of system limitations it is only available for night and weekend gamers. This is an archaic drawback and it limits the number of people who will actually try this truly wonderful game. Many folks wont tolerate such a drawback no matter how much fun the game brings. Those who are still willing to try the game must jump another hurdle. It is necessary to configure the software. This process has been reduced to several easy steps and is described on the Avatar 90 website. It even has screenshots to guide you through the process with absolute certainty. The people that run the website don't write the software so it is about as easy as it will ever get. But it isn't very difficult. It just takes five minutes to follow the instructions. Many gamers wont tolerate this hurdle either. As a result... Avatar 90 seeks evening and weekend gamers. All are invited to join this very fun, exciting, and social online game. http://www.avatar90.com "
