I bought the full version after playing the demo for 15 mins. Smugglers 2 was great, and this makes it even better. The plot is detailed with interesting twists (such as the possible deal with the devil when you get old) and the revised method of ship to ship combat is very effective. It''s the best tenner I''ve spent in a long time.

I just finished this game, I loved (almost) every minute of it. The claymation graphics are lovely, the music is fantastic (it''s made by Chris Abbot and consists of remixes of C64 classics such as Comic Bakery and Thalamusic) and the gameplay is fast, hectic and addictive. The only negative things I can think of is that it''s a bit short, and that the third world contains some parts which are slightly more frustrating than they should be.

Anyway, thumbs up. This is the third shareware game I''ve bought, and like the two others (Gish & Hamsterball), it''s left me wanting more.

I debated for a long time on whether to rate this game an 8 or a 7...

... because rating should be 10 really. :) :) :)
Seriously, I suppose this is fair review Russel and very useful for us. So, thanks a lot for your notes. We''ll try to improve the game till the next version.

President Forever is entertaining and has enough depth for me to play it whenever I need a strategy game that doesn''t involve me killing things, but it was somewhat difficult to get in to and the options weren''t completely clear to me. I also have yet to beat a scenario. Still, it''s fun and pretty realistic.

My comments are based on the demo:

Players should note that the gameplay is totally Galaga-inspired. There''s a powerup system that seems to be tied both into score and (oddly) ship health, so the weapons are different, but you are, essentially, playing another version of Galaga. I''m not saying that''s a bad thing, but I think we should not say "This is a top-view shooter like Raiden" when what we really mean is "This is a top down shooter like Galaga." They are two completely different animals and you would not get a point for matching them in "Critter Match."

We should also note that the game is, oddly, playable with a mouse. However, playing with a mouse changes the game from Galaga into something more like that FlySwatter game that came with MarioPaint. It''s madness!

Great little shooter here. I see what you mean about running into ships a lot- Collosatropolis'' air force must be made up mostly of kamikaze pilots! ;-) No complaint about the controls, though, but then again, I''m using a gamepad.

Nice comparison to Ordyne, too. I woulda never saw the similarities otherwise.

An excellent brain teaser from the team that brought us awesome games like Raptor and Galactix! Two thumbs up!

This is a great game! I would highly recommend it for all ages and gender. Be careful! Just when you think you have seen enough games, start playing this one, and try to stop, you just can’t. This game will put a magical spell on you too and keep you coming back for more!

Terrific Monkey Ball-clone but the game controls really suck. 3D graphics, puppy sounds, cool musics... It''s a damn well-polished and funny game ! Give it a try or die :)
