Before I installed it I thought it was another just to be made arcade game because of the name Node Warriors. Well I was pretty worried because I’m kind of sick of all those arcade game.
The nice surprise that I had was that this game is no shooter this game is a puzzle like game.
Well the story of this game has 4 sentences I guess the developers wanted to keep it short and it goes like this: “It is the year X002. The internet as we know it is now known as the Intercyberweb (ICW). You are a protector of the ICW: a Node Warrior. Your mission: To seek out and cleanse the infected nodes of the ICW.
The main goal in this game is to reach the checkpoint. In the first levels there is only one but while advancing in the game there will be more.
The checkpoints are reached by programming your cyber bug (CB) through the intercyberweb (ICW).
When I first saw this game I was blocked because I didn’t know what to do and to be honest with you I didn’t really liked it but I decided to give it a chance and after I understood my main goal I began to like it.
You can’t move the CB by yourself but you are given ten random instructions every turn and you can use only five of them.
In your way to the checkpoint also called node you encounter many obstacles like:
-The dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSoD). It kills CBs instantly
- The error box. It will damage your CB by one point
-The bit-stream. It will move your CB one tile along its flow. Be careful it doesn't pull it into a BSoD.
-The mirror. Mirrors reflect lasers 90 degrees
Those are just a few of the many obstacles.
There aren’t options just the sound and the music volume. By the way I have to mention that the music Is actually really good. I’m rapper so I’m hearing many instrumentals every day and I can say that those are very good ones.
Unlike most games done so far this one kind of requires a brain to play.
Concept: 8
The concept is not a new one but it wasn’t used in many games.
Fun: 6
Well it’s not that funny
Overall: 7
I believe that it’s worth the time for downloading this game so I believe you should try it out.
