Alien Shooter was one of the best games of 2003 and remains a fan favorite. There was little surprise when the announcement was made of a sequel. However, initially the Sigma website hadn't been updated with any information about the game. It now has been, and what is more, there is not just one Alien Shooter sequel in the works.

A second game on the website "Theseus - Return of the Hero" is labeled as the 'logical sequel' to Alien Shooter. I think the translation there is probably a little rough, but what this game does provide is an expansion of the Alien conflict to another location. Much of the Alien Shooter game occurs in buildings, but Theseus appears to be set entirely outside in a 'small European town.'

The graphics engine for Theseus appears to be the engine from Alien Shooter 1, while the engine for Alien Shooter 2 is really looking amazing (note the picture below of for each).

Alien Shooter 2 is due this November/December with Theseus due out...next month!!!
