Filled with the typical, enjoyable music that you expect from Twilight Games's titles, Ratmaster if a fun game that will keep even the most anti-puzzle players busy for a good while.
T
he game offers nothing new, rather it combines a couple of ideas that players
may already be familiar with. In this game you move pieces around on a
board much like you would with those small slider puzzles that parents often
give kids to keep them busy on trips. However this one goes a step further by having a wandering rat. Each tile has at least one path through it. The key is to line up the tiles in such a way that the Rat can get all the way through the tiles to the cheese. Of course it is much easier than it sounds, and Twilight Games has added things such as snakes, rat holes, and electric traps to make things even more interesting.
The graphics are not amazing, but they accomplish what is needed very cleanly. As mentioned before, the music is a joy and it will keep you from getting overly serious as you attempt to play through the boards. Game play is very easy to pick up, and for those who get stuck, there are hints to help you through the levels. This is a great little game to check out.
