The whole enchilada. What was the best independent video game this year?
The Reviewers at Game Tunnel have been working through over 100 games this year
to come up with the answer to this question. We narrowed the results
down to 18 finalists and then each reviewer ordered the finalists from 1-18.
Only the top 10 games are listed below. Each of the games below is more
than worth your time, and se...

This category takes is for games that are the best of the Networked crew.
Though there were several networked games this year, only 4 made the cut to
become finalists. Each of the games is well worth checking out for your
next LAN party.

This category takes far too many words to describe. However, the fact
remains that networked games are nearly always better for multi-player than
non-networked games. So to make things a little more fair to the amazingly
good team and multiplayer games that were were releas...
The name of the game in independent is having new and different ideas (or maybe
strange like RTSofts Teenage Lawnmower). This year we came to the
conclusion that there at least 6 games whose concepts were extremely innovative.
So instead of the normal 5 finalists for a category, this category got...
There are few things that can establish the feeling of a game like the sound.
Try turning the sound off in a game like Alien Shooter, and the sense of dread
around every corner mostly vanishes. Sound makes games feel complete and
Though independent games must depend on their own efforts many of the time for
art creation, it doesn't mean there aren't Indie games with great art.
This year we saw the genre continue to push itself to new heights with the
introduction of many of the Torque engine games and the efforts of many small

these types of games, so we've grouped them together in one category.
